Feature

Write once. Publish it or send it by email.

Every Otium site can have a blog. A post can be open to everyone, ask for an email before the reader continues, or stay private for paying customers. The same writing can also be sent to your email list.

How it works

  1. 1

Choose who can read each post

Leave it open, ask the reader to join your email list, or save it for customers who paid.

  2. 2

    Use the same writing twice

Write an email and also publish it on your blog, or turn a blog post into an email.

  3. 3

A good post can grow your email list

A reader enters their email to continue. Otium adds them to your list without sending them to another page.

  4. 4

Keep your best work for paying readers

A paid post opens after a one-time purchase or an active monthly membership.

One post is open. One grows your email list. One is for paying readers.

Questions

How is this different from Substack?

The reading experience is similar, but the blog lives on your own web address, Otium takes 1% instead of 10%, and it sits beside your courses, community, and other products.

Will posts that ask for an email still appear in search?

Open posts are the ones search engines can read in full. Posts that ask for an email show only the opening. You choose which matters more for each post.

Can the AI write posts?

Yes. Tell Otto what you want to say and he drafts it for you to edit. He can also turn a useful free guide into a post that asks for an email.

What powers the emails?

Otium sends from a web address you verify. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and addresses that bounce or report spam are not emailed again.

Blog and customer emails is only one part. The rest is included.
