Feature

Let people pay. Offer one useful extra.

Customers can pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. The money goes to your own Stripe account. You can also offer a related extra before they pay, or one more product just after.

How it works

  1. 1

    Payments go to you

Connect your Stripe account once. Customer payments land there, and Otium takes a 1% fee from each sale.

  2. 2

    An optional extra at checkout

A customer buying your course can tick a box to add the workbook for $9.

  3. 3

    One more offer after payment

After paying, the customer can add one more product with a click. If they say no, you can show a smaller option instead.

  4. 4

    Easy return access

A returning customer asks for a code by email. There is no password to remember or reset.

$27 course + $9 workbook + $17 tutorial = $53 if they choose all three.

Bought separately, this is roughly SamCart at $79/mo

Questions

Do I need my own Stripe account?

Yes. The guided setup takes about five minutes. The money, customer records, and payment history stay in your Stripe account.

What fees does Otium take?

Otium takes 1% of each sale. Stripe also charges its normal payment-processing fee.

Can someone really add the second product with one click?

Yes. They agree to save the card during checkout, so they do not need to enter the payment details again.

Can I turn the extra offers off?

Yes. Each extra is optional, and its settings are kept if you switch it off.

Payments and useful extras is only one part. The rest is included.
